Hello my bunnies ! I trust you cakes are doing good and in good spirits. It is that time of the year, the most important time for Christians. Easter weekend. This is the time when Christians come together to celebrate and commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Usually this weekend is busy, some people celebrating time off from work and most people go to church while families gather for festive meals. It is my church's tradition to cook and eat together as a congregation. We normally have two services during this time, one on Good Friday and the other on Easter Sunday and it is usually packed. However this year its a different story, everyone is being encouraged to practice social distancing by staying at home to combat the spread of Covid-19 and that begs the question, has Easter been ruined by Covid-19? where is the Easter bunny? ( Ok i don't know anything about Easter bunny. I don't know that man, sorry to that man).

I think this is a perfect time to celebrate the price Jesus paid for us on the cross.

I looked on the internet to see what other people think about Easter

We Christians believe that Jesus Christ was sent by God the father to live among us, to show us perfect love. Jesus loved outcasts and sinners. Jesus offered hope and healing. Jesus said that our joy is found in sacrificial generosity, not in accruing possessions.

Jesus always told the truth. Jesus offered forgiveness of sin, even to those who betrayed and murdered him. Jesus said, over and over, that we shouldn’t be afraid. Jesus showed us perfect love.

I could not have put that better. This is the time where we kneel before God confess our sins and they shall be forgiven. A time for us to show kindness and forgive those who have wronged us. I believe that God will give us a second chance in life. A reminder that God is perfect and he is able.

Covid-19 definitely did not ruin Easter it just changed the "traditional" way we celebrate it but God is everywhere, at church, at home and in our hearts therefor it doesn't matter where you praise him and pray. I believe that sometimes when we go to church we do not fully let the holy spirit take over us or worship him enough because we're either destructed or worried about the person next to us.

Thanks to technology we can live stream church services and bible studies. I have been enjoying TD JAKES live services and Hillsongs online worships. What a time to be alive!.

Easter is less about looking your Sunday best and quoting the bible for your IG post and more of giving God the glory and praise.

Hi lovies ! happy good Friday my angels. I trust you angels are good good, safe and at home taking necessary precautions to protect you and your loved ones.

Last night president Ramaphosa announced that the lock down in South Africa will be extended for another two weeks meaning the whole of April is cancelled. If you haven't gotten the memo, this virus is serious and we all need to work together by taking necessary precautions to protect ourselves and those around us. I do not know about you but Chille! I would love to freely go back to life as I know it ( we all know things will definitely not go back to "normal").

Everything is uncertain right now, students are concerned about their future ( as for me I'm tripping since I'm meant to graduate again at the end of this year but we still haven't written any exams). People are worried about their jobs and what their families are gonna eat. At least the government seems to be doing what they can but is it enough?.

During these times of uncertainty I want to encourage you with these verses from the bible:

"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet. for your body, what you will wear."_ Mathew 6:25

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." _ Philippians 4:6-7

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."_ Hebrews 11:1

"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"_ Psalm 46:10

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."_ Romans 8:18

I trust these scriptures will give you some comfort, hope and faith to keep you strong during these times.

NB: Now that the lock down has been extended I will continue with my 21 days of blogging till the 16th of April 2020 thereafter I will publish blog posts 3-4 times a week. You are more than welcome to suggest things or topics you'd like for me to blog about.

Since I cannot film for Doing the damnz podcast I will be going live twice a week with some of the people that are doing the damnz on my IG and podcast IG. Please follow me on IG @teydablogger and @doingthedamnzpodcast for updates.

How are you guys doing and feeling about the extension of the lock down? Please let me know on the comments below, I would love to know if you are OK.

Let me start off by thanking Thabisa for giving me this opportunity to share with you my thoughts on relationships. This is obviously a topic that can not be discussed in its entirety in one blog post so I will just try to summaries as much as I can.

NB* The following is purely based from my experience and yes I am male.

Whether you are male or female there comes a point in time when looks become less important. Okay let me put it like this, remember back in high school when the goal was to date the hottest boy or girl? I remember those days like yesterday. Good looks were everything and if you were fortunate enough to have them then I bet your high school days were some of your best days ever. Not only would all the attention be on you but it even seemed like you'd have the teachers' favour as well.

Sadly as you start to meet the adult person you're going to become you start yearning for something beyond the looks. You will start to discover that looks are temporary and that there is always going to be another better looking person somewhere out there. This discovery usually replaces your search for good looks in a person with the search for companionship. Until that shift has happened one cannot be deemed to be ready for a serious relationship.

"How do you stay faithful?" a friend of mine once asked. "I've been trying hard to be faithful but its just too difficult" he said. I found myself amused by his question because I've often been asked the same question by other people. To be honest I don't have an answer that truly works but I will share with you what I told him. I believe being faithful is a conscious decision one makes. Its a decision that comes with maturity. Sometimes you just have to sit down and look at your partner and relationship. Once you do that and you find yourself smiling then being faithful should become easy. One thing that's for sure is that no one can force someone to be faithful. Maturity plays a huge part in this regard and until someone decides on their own without any outside pressure to be faithful then its unlikely to happen.

Imagine taking two different people, from different backgrounds, raised differently, possessing differently personalities and then have them build something....Certainly relationships are a piece of work and for them to succeed both parties need to be truly invested in each other. Being grateful for those little things your partner does for you can go a long way and oh forgiveness... If you are slow to forgive then stay far away from relationships.

In conclusion, if there is one thing I've learnt from my relationship its patience. No two people are the same and being patient with your partner can work magic in your relationship.

Thank you guys for taking your valuable time to read my thoughts. I obviously had a lot to share but as you know, time is of the essence. Keep well and stay safe.

Till next time..
