Hi loves! I trust you cuties are well and are adhering to the president's orders to stay at home till things die down so we can all go back to our normal lives as soon as possible.

I am starting to sound like a broken record ,Lol, but i cannot stress this enough. Please stay at home beloved ! i understand that this situation is not ideal for most of us but we have to work together as the nation to fight the spread of Corona-virus. Don't know what to do to keep yourself entertained during the lock down? take a look at my blog post about THINGS TO DO DURING THE LOCK DOWN.

This is such a chaotic time and anxiety levels are high therefor it is very easy to lose sight of how blessed we are. Gratitude will bring you peace during the storm.

Every morning i jot down things that i am grateful for and i will be sharing with you 5 things i am grateful for today and since it's a Monday it's good to start the week on a positive note.

1. I am grateful for my parents and family - Being able to call my parents anytime i want and talk to them is the greatest blessing. I am fortunate enough to still have both parents which is something most people are not fortunate enough to have and i am grateful for them and my beautiful family.

2. For the gift of life - I am grateful to still be alive and healthy. Lord! knows how scared i am of getting sick even flu gets me all worked up. Lol.

3. My drive, dedication and determination - I am grateful that God put that fire in me that drives me to want better for myself and to dream bigger and actually keep me up at night when i don't do anything about it. A dream is just a dream until you make it real.

4. You guys, ILYSM - people who actually take time to read my blog posts and watch and subscribe to my YouTube channel (if you haven't subscribed please do :) ). Thank you so much guys.

5. I am grateful for my safety and to be around family during this time.

One bonus thing i am grateful for is being anxiety "free". well i mean i haven't had anxiety this year even during this time and i am super grateful for that. Blog post about how i kicked that B* to the curve will be up soon.

What are you grateful for?

Hi loves! it's day 3 of the lock down i trust you loves are good and staying at home and taking necessary precautions to prevent yourselves and loved ones from getting the virus.

Lately, well mostly before the lockdown I have been getting a lot of questions about my hair, its name, where i got it done, for how much, how long am planning on keeping it and how I maintain it. Well chillle, i am here to spill all the tea!.

The name of the hair brand is Marley hair (not sure if the name originated from the late legendary ragge artist Bob Marley seeing how the hair is similar to his). I did it in Cape Town CBD by the deck. The cost was R500 labour and the hair included. As for how I maintain it, I've decided to let you in on the secret in a separate blog post. In that blog post I will share with you the wash routine and the products I use. So be on the lookout for that blog post. The hair is crotchet therefore i am planning to keep it for a long time, maybe a year.

The inspiration behind my hair came from the iconic Rihanna. I also wanted to do something different, something out of my comfort zone and something dramatic hence the length. Lol.

Hi loves! We are in day 2 of the lock-down, i hope you loves are good and staying at home as the president ordered. We all need to be on board so that we can combat the spread of this vicious Corona-virus. I want to emphasis on the importance of staying at home for your own safety and those around you. The more we obey the rules of the lock down, the sooner we can all go back to our normal day to day lives. So i urge you all to stay at home and take necessary precautions to prevent yourselves and those around you from getting the virus.

I know staying at home can be a bore for many ( some of us just learnt that our lifestyle has a name. Quarantine. lol) but i am going to share a few things to do during the lock down.

1. Play games - this is our favorite thing to do as a family. We have games like putting together puzzles, karaoke , tower and yes X-BOX. There are other games on google play that you can download for yourself or family as well.

2. Movie/Series marathon- this is definitely one of my favorite things to do and something i will be doing during the lock down, watching movies and series all day everyday.

3. cleaning the house - Yet again one of my favorite things to do. Cleaning the house (for me) is not just therapeutic but it is essential during this pandemic. Always ensure that you clean surfaces with detergents (personal preference being detol).

4. Meditate - This is such a chaotic time and anxiety levels are high therefore it is important that we take time to disconnect from all the energies and connect with God and ourselves.

5. Take time to reflect - look at your life! have you achieved any of the goals you have set for yourself for this year or last year. Think about the person you want to become or life you want to live then make necessary adjustments. This is the time to plan and reflect on one's life.

6.Self-care - I know we are at home 24/7 and it is easy to forget to care for yourself but put on a mask, wash your hair and do your self-care routine.

7. Find new artist on soundcloud - yet again this is one of my favorite things to do, finding new South African artists on soundcloud this does not only give me an opportunity to find new music but i am also supporting new and upcoming artist which is something i am passionate about hence my podcast, Doing the damnz podcast, which is about creating safe space for young people to engage in thought provoking conversations and promoting and empowering artists and creatives.

8. Gratitude list - "Gratitude turns out what we have into enough"_ Melody Beattie

9. Exercise - honey you don't have to wait for winter anymore to create your "summer body" get into it now!

10. Start a challenge - challenge yourself into doing something you've always wanted to do and tell people, like your family so that they can hold you accountable. I challenged myself into blogging for 21 days and boy oh boy oh boy! around 13:h00 i know i should busy writing so i can publish at 17:h00.

One bonus tip for those of you who love being in the kitchen, this is the perfect time to learn new cooking recipes. and oh invite me to come and taste *winkwink
